Here's my contribution to The Helping Hands Project. So happy to have helped a tiny little bit with the quilting ministry at Sarah's blog Confessions of a Fabric Addict.

Super Sized Diaper Bag
Designed and stitched this diaper bag for an expectant mom at church.
I know she likes pink, so I hope she likes it.
Features: the lining is water proof sail cloth,
inside is a large pocket and a smaller divided pocket.
I really like the large covered button -
this button is 2.75" across,
I've been waiting for just the right project to use this item.
Everything for this project came from my stash :)

Grandbaby's Nursery
Finished the crib bedding for
our grandbaby's nursery.
Everything coordinates with the
quilt, of course :)
Navy and lime mod print bumper pad and
brown dotted dust ruffle.
Our daughter, the mommy to be,
selected the fabrics.
Together we designed the style.
The bumper pad is one long piece,
which weaves around the corner posts
and snaps together. We like the idea of
no ties or velcro to hold the bumper in place.
This adorable elephant
was the color inspiration for the nursery.
We are all excited,
baby is coming soon!

Flannel Scrap / Utility / Memory Quilt
Recently, while organizing our storage room,
I found this quilt top that I made a few years ago.
It is made from flannel scraps left over from
various projects.
Some would call it an utility quilt,
a scrap quilt,
a memory quilt, or
just plain ugly.
For me, it's a super snuggly, fluffy quilt
that we will love to pieces!
To maintain the soft puffy feel,
I used polyester batting and
only a little quilting.
Stitched in the ditch at the block seams
and then diagonally.
The back is a thrifted flannel duvet :)
