This week I continued making purses to sell as a missions fundraiser.

Next up is a purple and gray chevron bag...it's so cute.

This Week's Projects

This week I began making purses to sell as a missions fundraiser.

For local people, I will be setting up a table at Camp Eder's Fall Fest on 10/19.

Purse featuring snap closure and lots of pockets

Cross-body bag, zip closure under flap and 2 pockets

Wristlet with zipper coin pocket, card pockets and more.

Back to the sewing room for more goodies.

Finally sewing again...

A new purse for me!

The exterior is a decorator weight fabric, which I quilted using a double needle.

The interior features lots of pockets, just my style.

Double needle quilting created a raised detail.

The Return to Making Bags

This week I made 2 bags.

This bright little bag is for a young girl.

It's 10 inches wide and 7 inches tall.

Love the bold rick rack! 

This bag is for my friend Diane, 

she gave me a tub of fabric and had

selected 2 fabrics she wanted for bags.

This is the light one, 

there's a black one still

on my cutting table.

The bag is 14 inches wide and 

11 inches tall.

Trust me, 

the colors are much nicer in person, 

I'm just too lazy to try to get a better photo.

Hand2Help Quilt Completed

This is my contribution to the Hand2Help Charity Quilt Challenge 2013.

It will be donated to Quilty Hugs for Happy Chemo.

Now to get this in the mail.

My sewing machine should be keeping me busy, 

I'm making clothing and draw string bags for our church's missions trip to Haiti.  

Along with hopefully making some bags/purses to sell to help with fundraising.

New Bag featuring Jumbo Grommets

Finished this bag for my daughter.  

She selected the fabrics and I used this tutorial 

but made some size modifications.

The bag includes a snap closure and 

2 interior slip pockets.

And check out the sweet Mother's Day picture 

I received...I could just cuddle her all day!!!

Summer Wall Hanging Finished

The 26" inch square quilt sure makes the PA landscape look gloomy.

Hope some warmer weather this weekend helps brighten things up.

Although that means more pollen....YUCK....this has not been a good week for

allergy sufferers like me.
